Muses of Emotions and Art – Mei-chi Chen & Li-ying Chen Combined Exhibition
Muse of Emotions and Art (情藝繆思) celebrates the creative brilliance of female muses in the arts. This exhibition brings together two exceptional mid-career female artists from southern Taiwan, both deeply dedicated to their craft. Through keen observations of everyday life, they express—each in her own distinct style—the nuanced sensibilities of female creators and their deep concern for the emotional connections between people and their surroundings. The exhibition highlights the vital role of women in contemporary art.

The exhibited works include the Banquet Series (喜宴系列) (Red), alongside the artist’s reflections on her children (child) and the world around her after becoming a mother. The name "赤子" not only embodies the meaning of innocence and purity but also cleverly incorporates the Chinese character "赤", which symbolizes the color red, seamlessly merging the two themes into one.

The exhibition Sea, Island, People
The exhibition Sea, Island, People—The Story of Taiwan is rooted in the New Taiwan History Movement, aiming to retell Taiwan’s history. Specifically, the sea represents Taiwan’s connection to the world; the island symbolizes the interaction between humans and various species; and the people embody the interwoven diversity of ethnic groups. Through this perspective, Taiwan is portrayed as a historical stage that carries the stories of different peoples, eras, and cultures.
