The ordinary things we take for granted are often what we miss most when we leave home or find ourselves in a foreign place.
The people, places, food of our daily routine soon become a safe haven in our memories.
With needle in hand and thread as seasoning, each stitch conjures the familiar tastes of Taiwan.
May the flavors be embroidered without end, allowing everyday moments to be cherished forever.
PinShow An embroidery-illustrator, Hsiu-ping Chen began learning embroidery in 2017.
Specializing in a realistic style, she intricately uses needle and thread to depict aspects and perceptions of daily life.
Her works break away from traditional embroidery, blending painting elements to explore the contemporary expressions of fiber art.
Currently, she works full-time creating and teaching hand-embroidery, continuously stitching the warmth and poetry of life.
