The EVERRICH Foundation has long been dedicated to Taiwan’s major airports, with the mission of supporting the sustainable development of tourism, enhancing service quality for international travelers, advancing the global integration of duty-free retail, promoting international exchange and cooperation, and organizing public welfare initiatives. Viewing airport terminals as both gateways to the nation and important platforms for showcasing Taiwan’s diverse culture, the Foundation continues to bring local stories to the world. Belief in the TU DI GONG is one of Taiwan’s most widespread folk traditions and remains deeply connected to everyday life. As Taoyuan District has the highest density of TU DI GONG temples in Taiwan, this exhibition has been developed in partnership with the Taoyuan Tudigong Culture Museum. Bringing to Taiwan’s international gateway a spirit rooted in local communities and care for both people and the natural world, we hope to offer visitors a deeper appreciation of one of the island’s warmest and most enduring cultural traditions.

The Taoyuan Tudigong Culture Museum, operated by the Taoyuan City Culture Foundation, is Taiwan’s first museum dedicated to promoting TU DI GONG belief. Since opening in 2017, the museum has continued to cultivate and preserve local spiritual traditions. In 2018, it expanded the long-running TU DI GONG Cultural Festival into the Tu Di Gong Folk Arts Festival, which has now reached its nineteenth edition. TU DI GONG belief is one of the most widely practiced and accessible forms of folk belief in Taiwan, representing the shared cultural memory of neighborhoods and communities. In recent years, the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan and the Taoyuan City Culture Foundation have worked together to strengthen the festival’s scale and identity, bringing together public and private sectors to create a distinctive cultural symbol for Taoyuan.
