Seasons of Woodcraft
2026.08.20 - 2026.11.20

The EVERRICH Foundation has long been dedicated to promoting Taiwan’s diverse culture, allowing more people to experience its many facets. This exhibition showcases the richness of Taiwanese craftsmanship, promoting the ideals of art, culture, and sustainability. In collaboration with the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI), it features the theme “Taiwan Green Craft”, presenting a curated selection of eco-conscious works.

Woodcraft is an ancient craft born from nature’s gifts and humanity’s creative ingenuity. From shaping wood into tools and weapons and building shelters in prehistoric times, to crafting furniture, household objects, and contemporary artworks, woodcraft has not only fulfilled practical needs throughout daily life but also embodied profound cultural and aesthetic values. Its true beauty begins with an understanding of the material itself. Wood is a living material with warmth and character, and each species possesses its own unique qualities. Before creating, woodcraft artisans carefully study a piece of wood, observing its growth rings, color, scent, and the way it expands and contracts with its environment. This process is the most direct dialogue between people and nature. Woodcraft is the art of carrying nature’s life forward through the hands of the maker, transforming it into objects that enrich everyday living.
