Open (the) book

The Presidential Culture Awards are presented biennially, with five categories: Arts and Culture, Community Building, Humanitarian Dedication, Creativity and Innovation, and Public Advocacy. The awards aim to promote the values of Taiwan and establish meaningful role models for society. 

The recipients of the 13th Presidential Culture Awards span generations and disciplines. While they work in different fields, they share a common belief: transforming personal pursuits into forces that nurture society. Growing alongside the times, they allow this commitment to flourish freely, setting inspiring benchmarks for this land. 

Titled “Open (the) Book,” this exhibition is not simply about opening a book, nor does it refer to any single volume. Instead, each awardee’s story is presented as an individual book still in the process of being written. By turning these pages, visitors encounter the unseen journeys and accumulated efforts behind each recipient, while also opening the broader “book” of Taiwan and discovering new chapters that belong to this land.
