《Window Poetry》A Solo Exhibition by Chien-Yi Wu
2025.04.25 - 2025.07.29

EVERRICH is committed to promoting Taiwanese culture and has collaborated with collage artist Chien-i Wu to create mixed-media artworks inspired by Taiwan’s old iron window designs. This fusion of historical culture and architectural space offers a fresh perspective on local culture.
In Window Poetry, Chien-i Wu layers tape and patterns to capture the textures of historical traces. By incorporating translucent elements and light-shadow effects, she transforms local symbols into abstract color blocks, presenting window scenes that transcend time and space.
Drawing inspiration from old alleys and traditional iron window grilles across Taiwan, her work reflects the evolving relationship between demolition and preservation in local culture. Using collage techniques with tape, she records material traces and spatial connections.
The exhibition’s key visual showcases a new piece created for Taoyuan International Airport. Inspired by Mother’s Day and the view from an airplane window, the artwork blends carnations with a collage of Taoyuan’s landscape. Its digital-like color block composition evokes nostalgia in travelers, inviting moments of reflection and connection during their time at the airport.
