On 16 July, EVERRICH volunteers accompanied 21 children from The Onesiphorus Children's Home on an educational outing exploring Taitung's local culture and attractions. At Xiang Xiang Taitung, the children harvested pineapples and made jam, experiencing local agriculture through hands-on activities. They then visited Luye Highland for the Taiwan International Balloon Festival, where they enjoyed a tethered hot air balloon ride overlooking Taitung's mountain valleys. The day concluded with a lawn picnic, light projection music concert, drone performance and fireworks display, creating unforgettable summer memories.

Supporting children's growth begins with improving their everyday living environment. The Onesiphorus Children's Home in Taitung, which has served the community for more than half a century, had never been equipped with air conditioning due to limited resources. This year, the Chiang Hsu Sun Educational Foundation, established through the profits of EVERRICH Duty Free, invested nearly NT$1.5 million to install 34 air conditioning units throughout the facility, allowing children to enjoy a cooler and more comfortable summer for the first time.

Hsiao-Ming, who will enter senior high school after the summer break, shared that it was his first time riding a hot air balloon.
"The view from above was beautiful, and I was very happy," he said.

Hsiao-Chieh, who will enter her second year of junior high school, said harvesting pineapples and making jam were her favourite activities, as creating something with her own hands gave her a great sense of accomplishment. She also enjoyed the evening drone performance and fireworks display.

Chen Wei-chih(陳威志), Vice Director of The Onesiphorus Children's Home, expressed his gratitude to EVERRICH Duty Free and the Chiang Hsu Sun Educational Foundation for their continued support.
"Children need more than daily care; they also need companionship and encouragement. We appreciate the long-term support that helps children feel loved, seen and confident as they move toward the future," Chen said.

The Chiang Hsu Sun Educational Foundation stated that its commitment extends beyond one-time donations, focusing on long-term support for children and youth development in Taitung. In addition to supporting The Onesiphorus Children's Home, the Foundation also supports grassroots sports programmes, including the Hongye Elementary School baseball team and the Green Island Elementary School badminton team, helping children pursue their dreams despite limited resources.
